Gerald G. Rushton

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald G. Rushton, who left us peacefully on Wednesday July 16, 2025, in McAdam, New Brunswick.

Born in 1964, in Blacks Harbour, N.B., the beloved son of the late Irvine and Martha Rushton.

Gerald had a great love for music, laughter and family.

Well known for his deep passion for country gospel music, he spent many years sharing his gift by singing and playing at churches and concerts. Gerald was always eager to share his music that he had written with pleasure.

His quick wit and joyful sense of humour brought smiles to countless faces. He always had a true talent for lifting the spirits of others.

Gerald was a loving father to his children; Jason (Emma) Rushton, Mindy Rushton (James) and Brandon Rushton, grandfather to; Eden, Asia and Holly, siblings; Carl (Linda) Rushton, Alice (Terry) Tracey, Perry (Sandra) Rushton, Peggy (Barry) LaKing, brother in-law; Gerald Weaver, several nieces and nephews, many dear friends and his family at Wauklehegan Manor, where he spent the final years.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siter; Reta, brothers; Stephen and Kenny "Buck" and his nephew; Perley.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 22, 2025, 3 pm at Voice of Pentecost Church, 84 Harvey Road McAdam, New Brunswick. Family will receive friends from 1 until funeral time.

A heartfelt "thank you" to the dedicated staff at Wauklehegan Manor for their compassionate care and kindness shown to Gerald during his time there.

Gerald will be deeply missed, fondly remembered and forever loved.
