It is with heavy hearts, the family of Kenny Cook announce his unexpected passing on Wednesday May 21, 2025.
He is the son of Elizabeth Cook and the late Ronald Cook.
Growing up in Oak Hill, New Brunswick, he ventured to Alberta to pursue a career in forestry for several years before making his way back to New Brunswick to spend more time with his family.
Kenny had a love for the simple, enduring things in life, while his dog, Zoro was always by his side. The well-worn guitars that he loved to play and the quiet of the woods where he worked.
Kenny would talk for hours about the things he loved – guitars, his mill, the newest and coolest crypto; often lingering long after goodbyes were said.
He is survived by his mother; Elizabeth, brother; Joseph (Bonnie), son; Asa Mason (Trisha), grandchildren; Aiden and Scarlett and several nieces who will remember him with guitar strums, paw prints and falling leaves.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his sister; Ronda and brother; Donnie.
The family will receive friends at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd, 23 Main Street St. Stephen, New Brunswick on Saturday May 24, 2025, 6 - 8 pm.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or a charity of one’s choice. Condolences can be sent to the family online at mehanfuneralhome.ca
