M. Debra “Debbie” Murray

It is with great sadness that the family of M. Debra "Debbie" Murray announce her passing at home with her loved ones by her side on April 18th, 2025 in Oak Haven, N.B.

Debbie is the daughter of the late Ernest and Ramona Legacy.

At an early age, she ventured out with her family to Alberta.  They had made many happy memories that they will carry and cherish forever.  In the summer of 2002, Debbie and family moved back home to New Brunswick to care for her dad until his passing.

Debbie loved butterflies, she always said it was a sign from Heaven.  She loved to listen to music, dancing and of course singing the old tunes.  Debbie wouldn’t ever turn down a good game of poker or Pictionary.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Gordon, two daughters; Wendy Reid (Nick) and Carol Murray (Mike), her four beautiful, treasured grandchildren; Faith, Cole, Wyatt and Leah, siblings; Wanda Legacy, Wayne Legacy and Conroy Legacy, sister-in-law; Barb Legacy, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers; Leroy, Cecil and Brian Legacy.

Debbie will be so deeply missed by all!

She loved flowers and butterflies.  If you would like to send flowers for the service, it would be greatly appreciated.

A funeral service will be held at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St Stephen, N.B. on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 2pm.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the funeral on Friday from 1-2 pm.

Interment at the Milltown Roman Catholic Cemetery, Barter Settlement, N.B., at a later date.
