Linda J. Sewell

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Linda J. Sewell on Wednesday March 26, 2025 at the Wauklehegan Manor, McAdam, N.B.

Linda was born in Presque Ilse, Maine to the late Kenneth Hayes, Sr and late Jean Stubbs.

After moving to Canada in 1971, Linda and Hazen had lived in Brockway and Harvey Station, N.B. before making their home in Lawrence Station, N.B. She was a stay-at-home wife and mother in her younger years before working at Ganong Bros. in St. Stephen, N.B. for close to 30 years.  Unfortunately, due to health issues she needed to retire as this prevented her from working.

Mom enjoyed watching the birds; all of beautiful colors and sizes, sitting by the peaceful lake and most of all, cooking with her grandchildren, their favorite cookies.

Linda is survived by her husband, Hazen of 53 years, daughters; Tina Worthington, Bonnyville, AB, Wanda Sewell (Clifford) of St. Stephen, NB, Beth Cleghorn (Jason) of Tower Hill, NB and Paula Gowan (Jason) of Little Ridge, NB, son; Shawn Sewell (Amanda) of Lawrence Station, NB, grandchildren; Laura, Kevin, Sandra, Makayla, Nathaniel, Ronald, Shania, Luke, Ricki Jean, Miranda, Jesse, Kersten, Matthew, Hannah, Tyson and Ryan, 29 great-grandchildren, siblings; Judy Beals (Dan) of Troy, IL, Kenneth Hayes III and Danielle Hayes, brother-in-law; Harry Sewell (Marlene) of Cornwall, ON, sister-in-law; Jackie Nowaczyk (Frank)m FL, her chosen family Neil Ewing (Michelle), her lifelong best friend; Barb MacKenzie, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins on both sides of the border.

In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her stepmother, stepfather, brother, stepbrothers and extended family members in the US.

At Linda’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services.
