Kenneth “Kenny” E Leavitt

It is with great sadness the family of Kenneth "Kenny" E. Leavitt announce his passing at his residence in Canal, NB on Sunday January 26, 2025

Kenny was born in 1956, to the late Shirley Kent (Leavitt).

Growing up on "the ledge" at the "yellow house", Kenny always had fond memories of his younger years with his close-knit family.

He was never afraid of hard work. You would find him on the beach digging clams in his earlier years, then he went to work driving a transport for Carson’s. When he wasn’t driving truck or working on cars, Kenny would be spending his time with his family and his life partner, Gail Hannah. He would often take Gail for ride to the city on a whim because it was the weekend after all. Kenny was always coming to the rescue of his daughter, Nicole and his nieces, when they found themselves in a little trouble. He was always prepared for a middle of the night call and always came to save the day no matter the time of day or night.

Kenny lived a life of honesty and integrity and will be missed by anyone who was lucky enough to get to know him.

Kenny had an immense love for his two daughters Nicole and Tanya. He took great pride in the title "Ga" given to him by his granddaughter, Taylor.

He spent the last several years at home with his daughter Nicole and son in law Ronnie, who made sure his wish of being at home for the entirety of his life possible.

Kenny is survived by his daughters; Nicole Hannah and Tanya Noddin, sons- in-law; Ronnie Gullison Jr and Jeremy Noddin, grandchildren; Taylor Hannah (Robert), Ashley Gullison, Courtney Noddin, Josh Noddin and Brooklyn Noddin, great- grandson; Carter, sister; Lisa Beckett (Gill), brother; Alan Kent(Tammy), nieces; Kristy Kent(Alex), Alicia Townsend, Michelle Mylen, Katlyn Kent(Brandon) and Miranda Kent, nephew; Brandon Kent, brother-in-law; Darrell Dempsey and sister-in-law; Andrea Sherman, several great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his lifelong love, Gail Hannah, brothers; Troy Kent, Jason Kent, John Leavitt and Timmy Leavitt, sister; Cheryl Kent, nephews; Corey(Bubba)Kent and David(Bugga) Jacques, sister-in-law, Kimberly Leavitt and his best friend for many, many years, Stephen Purdy.

Rest easy dad your suffering has ended; we will love you until we meet you again on the other side. Its not forever, just for now.

Visitation will be held at The S. O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home 23 Main Street St Stephen, NB on Thursday January 30, 2025, from 6 – 8 pm.

Graveside service will be held in the spring at the Oak Bay Rural Cemetery Oak Bay, NB.
