John “Jake” Ross

It is with great sorrow that the family of John "Jake" Ross announce his passing on Thursday July 11, 2024 at the Charlotte County Hospital, St Stephen, NB

He was born to the late Earl and Helen (Oliver) Ross of St Stephen, NB

John was an Industrial Mechanic and had a long career with the Flakeboard Company in St Stephen, NB.  After retiring he spent many hours in his garage at home working and tinkering on many projects.

He was an avid hunter and loved being in the woods either walking or on his wheeler.

John will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Vicky Birt (Michel) of Fredericton, NB and grandson Jason Brown (Susannah) of Tewkesbury, United Kingdom.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Freda, sister, Pauline and brother, William.

In keeping with John’s wishes, no funeral service or visitation will be held.  A private graveside service will be held at the Milltown Roman Catholic Cemetery, Barter Settlement, NB, at a later date.
