Leona M. Herron
1926 - 2023
Peacefully and surrounded by her family, Leona M. Herron of McAdam, N.B. passed away at the Charlotte County Hospital, in her 97th year, on Saturday, June 24, 2023.
Born in Back Bay, N.B., daughter of the late Warden and Ethel McLeese. Leona married Austin Herron and moved to McAdam where they raised their two children.
Leona will be greatly missed by her children, Larry (Ellen) of Tweed, ON. and Dianne (Donald) Phillips of St. Stephen, N.B., grandsons, Peter (Sue) of Wasaga Beach, ON., and Matthew (Aly) of Fredericton, N.B., great-grandchildren, Bailey Jane, Hunter, Rachel, Emily, Jack and Catherine, great-great-granddaughter, Brooklyn, step-grandchildren, David, Angie, Mike, Adam and Bradley, step-great-grandchildren, Hunter and Addison. She is also survived by her brother Vance of Pennfield, N.B., sister-in-law, Sylvia and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Leona was predeceased by her husband, brothers, Warden, Seymore and Clifton, sisters, Clara, Fanny, Helen and Jean.
Resting at the Voice of Pentecost Church, 84 Harvey Road, McAdam, N.B. from where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 2 PM. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 12 PM. until service time.
