Carmen A Morin

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carmen Ann Morin at Lincourt Manor, St. Stephen, N.B. on Monday, June 12, 2023.

Born in St Stephen in 1937, the third child born to Aime and Emma (Gagnon) Morin.

Carmen graduated Milltown High School in 1955.  She then went on to St Joseph’s School of Nursing becoming a Registered Nurse in 1958. 

Soon after she entered the convent with Sisters of Charity where she administered the St Joseph’s School of Nursing for 15 years.  Later she received her master’s degree in nursing from St Louis University in Missouri.

She then became a Professor of Nursing at University of New Brunswick in Fredericton until her retirement. 

Carmen was an excellent athlete during the high school years, excelling in basketball, softball, badminton, track and field.

She was especially fond of dogs as pets.  She loved her auctions where she collected many pieces of art and antiques. 

In addition to her parents, Carmen was predeceased by her sisters; Georgette and Lorraine whose deaths occurred in 2022.

She is survived by her brother Joe (Polly), one nephew, Dr. Jason Morin, four nieces, Sherry Morin, Lorie Mew, Frances Crupi and Kathe Docker.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Milltown Blvd, St. Stephen, N.B.  on Monday, June 26, 2023 at 11 AM. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:15 AM until service time.

Interment will be at the Milltown Catholic Cemetery, Barter Settlement, N.B.
