B. Elaine Holt
1943 - 2023
Elaine Holt of Bocabec, N.B. passed away at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen on Thursday, January 19, 2023 after a short illness.
Elaine was born in Pleasant Villa, Queens County, NB in 1943, daughter of the late Garfield and Elizabeth (McCullough) Taylor.
Elaine was an avid reader and especially loved biographies and mysteries. She liked watching movies from years ago and had an incredible memory for facts and figures and loved history. With her sister Roberta she visited Boston and they immersed themselves in the history there. She and Roberta also travelled to England where she delighted in a production of "The Importance of Being Earnest".
She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister and "Auntie Timmy". She will be sadly missed by her son, Peter Holt (Leslie) of Bocabec, N.B., siblings; Marjorie Harris, Bertha Day, Bernice Lawrence (Bev), Burl Taylor (Theresa), Richard Taylor (Nancy) and Shirley Taylor, sister-in-law Letta Taylor, brother-in-law Michael Needham, many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Donald, daughter Susan and siblings Wilfred, Clayton, Leo, Roberta (Needham) and Leonard.
Cremation has taken place and in keeping with Elaine's wishes no service or visitation will be held at this time. A gathering of family & friends will take place at another date (to be determined).

I heard your voice in the wind today
and I turned to see your face;
The warmth of the wind caressed me
as I stood silently in place.
I felt your touch in the sun today
as its warmth filled the sky;
I closed my eyes for your embrace
and my spirit soared high.
I saw your eyes in the window pane
as I watched the falling rain;
It seemed as each raindrop fell
it quietly said your name.
I held you close in my heart today
it made me feel complete;
You may have died...but you are not gone
you will always be a part of me.
As long as the sun shines...
the wind blows...
the rain falls...
You will live on inside of me forever
for that is all my heart knows.
