Lois S. Downey
1931 - 2019
Lois S. (Smith) Downey of St. Stephen NB, wife of the late Donald (Don) Downey passed away on October 23, 2019 at the Charlotte County Hospital. Born in St Stephen, NB on April 10, 1931, daughter of the late Norman Kenneth and Daisy May Smith.
Survived by her sons: Steven Downey (Brenda) of Fredericton, Murray Downey (Melody) of Saint John, Larry Downey (Debbie), Allan Downey (Janet), Mark Downey (Tanya) all of St. Stephen, grandchildren; Karen, Michael, Christopher, Amanda, Ryan, Geoff, Erica, Bradley, Allana, Maddy and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years Donald Downey and great granddaughter Cassandra Downey. October 29, 2019 would have been Lois and Don’s 70th Anniversary.
A graveside service will be held at the Oak Bay Cemetery on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 2 PM. There will be no visitation held.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #9, Charlotte County Hospital Foundation or charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Condolences may be sent to the family online at mehanfuneralhome.ca
