Vera May McGlinchey

On April 11, 2012 at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, N.B., Mrs. Vera May (Fraser) McGlinchey passed away peacefully with her family members at her bedside.

Vera was born at St. Stephen, N.B. on May 1, 1933. She was the daughter of the late Frederick and Evelyn (Libby) Fraser. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law and aunt.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard Franklin McGlinchey; three daughters, Joyce Williams (Warren) of Riverview, N.B., Roxanne Richardson (Brian) of St. Stephen, N.B., Lucinda McKay (Scott) of Mississauga, ON; one son, Anthony of Quispamsis, N.B.; three granddaughters, Jennifer Williams-Hearnshaw (Larry), Shannon Williams, Lainie Richardson; one great-granddaughter, Samantha Hearnshaw; four brothers, Donald Fraser (Myrna) of Fredericton, N.B., Roy Fraser (Ruth) of Baillie, N.B., David Fraser (Dorothy) of St. Stephen, N.B., Phillip Fraser (Darlene) of Barter Settlement, N.B.; two sisters, Geraldine Shannon and Marie McLay (George) of St. Stephen, N.B.; three sisters-in-law, Leona McGlinchey of Pomeroy Ridge, N.B., Rita Fraser of St. Stephen, N.B., Ann Fraser of St. Stephen, N.B.; several nieces and nephews.

Vera enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She loved sitting by the seashore and she had a special love for music.

A graveside service will be held at the Pomeroy Ridge Cemetery, Pomeroy Ridge, N.B. on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. There will be no visitation, by request.
