MURCHIE- At Lincourt Manor, St. Stephen, NB, April 25, 2011, Douglas Durrell Murchie.Born March 24, 1925, Old Ridge (Blackland), NB, son of Herman and Jennie (Finnegan) Murchie.Survived by his wife, Dorothy (Kee), daughters; Judy (Don), St. Stephen, NB, Beth (John), Halifax, NS; sons; Bill (Ellen), St. Stephen, NB, and Gordon (Alanna), Red Deer, AB; grandchildren; Kyle, Tanis, David, Melissa, Ben, Henry, several nieces and nephews.Predeceased by brothers Henry, Burton and Vincent and sister Luella (Lach).Doug worked 35 years for Waterson's Pharmacy, St. Stephen, before retirement in 1993. He loved bowling, fishing and the Red Sox.Funeral service will be held at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, NB, April 29, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation from 12 - 2 p.m. at the funeral home, April 29, 2011. A reception will follow the service at Kirk McColl Church.Interment at Old Ridge Cemetery.
