Marie Grace Lawton
1928 - 2010
The death of Marie Grace Lawton, wife of the late Rubert C. Lawton, occurred on January 5, 2010 at Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews, NB.
Marie was born on December 5, 1928, the daughter of the late John and Elva (Phillips) Hamilton. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Pauline and her brother, Edward.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Nadine; her son-in-law, William (Bill) Babcock; and her grandson, Eric Peter Babcock. Marie’s later years were made especially joyful by the addition of her great granddaughter, Emma Marie Babcock, who brought much happiness into Gram-Gram’s life. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, in particular, Rubert’s brothers son, Raymond Lawton and his wife, Lucy.
By Marie’s request there will be a private burial at the St. Stephen Rural Cemetery.
