MORROW-at Flume Ridge, NB, February 8, 2009, David Roy Morrow, husband of Beverley A. (Gayton) Morrow, of St. David Ridge, NB. Son of Jean Morrow and the late George Morrow. David was a co-owner of Milltown Trucking and O.K. Tire & Auto Service.Survived by his wife; Beverley, son; Cory and daughter; Ami, both at home, his mother; Jean of Oak Bay, NB, brothers; Doug (Barb) of Tower Hill, NB and Raymond of Oak Bay, NB, sister-in-law; Brenda Hyslop (John), Barter Settlement, NB, brother-in-law; James Gayton (Sharon), Barter Settlement, NB, special cousin and best friend; Neil Morrow (Laura Ann Morehouse), Oak Bay, NB, nieces and nephews; Jessica Morrow, Shawn and J.J. Hyslop, Jamie, Alison and Aaron Gayton, Mandi and Jodi Milligan, Becky, Shawna and Derek Morrow, several great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.Dave dedicated himself to everything he did. He married his wife when he was 19 and she was 18. A marriage that was still going strong 28 years later. He promised to love, honor and cherish her until the day that he died. A promise he lived up to very well. Together they had 2 children, a son named Cory and a daughter named Ami. Two people that he adored and was very proud of. Dave raised his children the way he lived his life–quietly. Content to just step back until he felt his voice was necessary.Dave drove truck for his parents company until his father passed away in 1985. AT that time he and his brother Doug chose to stop driving and help their mother keep the family business going. Eventually, Jean retired and Dave and Doug took over as co-owners. Again, Dave was content to be the quiet one, working on the trucks in the garage, while Doug did the talking to customers. They also opened a second business together, OK Tire. This time choosing to become silent partners, which Dave was very good at.Dave loved spending time at his camp in Pine Valley, working on it with his cousin and best friend, Neil, or just hanging out with the boys. He loved to be outside, mowing his lawns, riding his bike or snowmobile. One thing is for sure, no matter what Dave was riding, it was shiny and had lots of chrome.If you were lucky enough to know Dave, you probably didn’t get a lot of conversation, but you felt you were in the presence of a great man.Dave’s final ride didn’t end in Flume Ridge. When you get to Heaven, if you notice the gates are perfectly polished, know that Dave wanted everything to look perfect before you arrived.Resting at his residence 26 St. David Ridge Road, St. David Ridge, NB with visitation on Wednesday, February 11, 2009, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.Funeral Service will be held at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd.,23 Main Street, St. Stephen, NB on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 2 PM.Interment at Milltown Roman Catholic Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Charlotte County Cancer Society, Palliative Care or charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family.Condolences to the family may be made online at mehanfuneralhome.ca
