The death of James Burgess Cogan occurred at Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB September 8, 2004. James was born October 14, 1918 in Milltown, NB where he lived most of his life. He was the son of Charles & Elizabeth (Burgess) Cogan.In his later years James moved to St. David Ridge where he thoroughly enjoyed country life. He developed a love of gardening, even to naming his cat “Farmer.”He was predeceased by his parents and brother John.He is survived by cousin, Karen Hayes Minty, Massachusetts, friend, Marguerite Johnston, St. David Ridge and other friends.James was the grandson of the late Charles Cogan, a justice of the peace and teacher who lived at the corner of the Bay Road and Valley Road near St. Stephen.Mass of Christian burial will be held at the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Union Street, St. Stephen, NB on Monday September 13, 2004 with Rev. Paul Riley officiating.Interment took place at the Milltown Roman Catholic Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, remembrances to Charlotte County SPCA or charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family.Arrangements in care of The S.O.
