Son of the late Fraser and Margaret (Best) Thorburn of McAdam, N.B. Husband of the late Doris (Hay) Thorburn. Survived by two daughters, Alicia Legere (Alonzo) Riverview, N.B., Sheila Scott ( Shane) Fredericton, N.B., three sons, Ted (Caroline) and Frank Thorburn, McAdam, N.B., David Thorburn (Anne) Fredericton, N.B., grandchildren, Shawn, Sarah and Kyle Thorburn, Marc and Angela Legere and Matthew, Nathan and Tyler Scott, two great grandchildren, Alexandre and Maya Cyr, one brother, Harry, Mission, B.C., three sisters, Gertrude Glancey, Seattle, Wa., Jessie McFarlane, Hamilton ON., and Martha Butland, Saint John, N.B., nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers, Toby, Bill, Howard and Stanley. Doug was retired from Canada Customs and a veteran of World War 11. Funeral service will be held from St. Pauls United Church, Saunders Road McAdam, N.B. on Friday March 5, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Bob McDowell officiating.Visiting at the church on Thursday March 4, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Interment at Rockland Cemetery, McAdam, N.B.
